Our Peanut crossed the Rainbow Bridge early this morning.
Expected, but far too soon. She crossed lying peacefully in her own bed, here at home. No signs of a struggle. She went to sleep, and just never woke up. The best thing, we think.
We have alternated between tears and small smiles all day.
She will be forever in our hearts ~
We found out today that our dear doxie has terminal, inoperable cancer. My world is torn apart.
Weeks to probably no more than 4 months with her ~ it has already metastisized to her lungs and heart.
This little girl was placed into my hands about 2 seconds after she 'came out of the shute' ~ and for the first 3-6 months of her life, she grew up cradled against my chest.
Definitely a "momma's girl"!!
I am hanging on to my sanity by the edges of my fingernails ~
One of my first guitar heros ~ you will be greatly missed, sir ~
...on YouTube, my subscriptions are back!! I wonder where they wandered off to ~ and if they will stay?!?!
...what the blazes happened to YouTube y'day?!?! I've lost all my subscriptions!
Any info would be welcome!
...with Ukraine. Fuck you, Putin.
Just finished watching all 3 episodes of Sir Peter Jackson's Beatles documentary ~ LOVED it!!
I especially enjoyed watching how the songs came together over time ~ the genius of the group ~
I really tried to like Amor Towles' new book "The Lincoln Highway"...
But after 147 pages, I had to give it up. I was bored to tears. It was no where NEAR as engaging as his "A Gentleman in Moscow", and I just couldn't finish it.
Poop. Such a disappointment ~
...but I'm a believer! I've just read Amor Towles' "A Gentleman in Moscow", and I loved it! Well written, enchanting and intriguing ~ I will be getting it for my permanent collection.
I tried to read his first novel too ~ but I had to put it away. Not NEARLY as good; very much a disappointment.
My creative mojo, which has been so dreadfully absent since the fall of '19 seems to be returning, slowly but surely. I've done one project from long ago; have some new G45 projects ready to go. YAY!!!
This afternoon, I watched the movie "The Father". No wonder Anthony Hopkins won the Best Actor Oscar for it.
Keep Kleenex handy ~ especially at the end.
5 stars ~
Got my first COVID-19 shot today at 1 PM ~ so far, at 6:30 PM, my arm isn't even sore. We'll see what tomorrow brings ~
Second shot will be Apr. 16th ~
...if someone wishes you a "Merry Solstice" instead of "Merry Christmas"?
Or if someone tells you "The axial tilt is the reason for the season"...
I'm not trying to ignite a flaming war here ~ just to get honest opinions...
...told the dump to go diddle himself. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'Twas a foregone conclusion, but OH, the relief of having it in writing!
Wonder what the a$$hole limp dick/lame duck will try next in his desperate wild madness??? Declaring martial law??
How I hate the slime ball!
...our long national tragedy is over!!!
Ding-dong, the asshole's dead; Ding-dong, the wicked jerk is a LOSER!!!!!
I'm so damn happy!!!
You tweeted today "Don't be afraid of COVID. Don't let it dominate your life."
I'm sure those words are of great comfort to not only the 210,000+ people who have died from it UNDER YOUR WATCH, but also their families.
You are a LOSER.
You are a pathological LIAR.
You are THE worst president the US has ever had.
GO Kamala!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
