So this is 50...

I had a blast over my birthday!! We met my sister Leah & her DH on Monday morning ~ indulged in some retail therapy (2 tops, 1 pair of pants, and a pair of shoes, right off the bat!!), and had a fantastic dinner at Stonehedge that evening. (More on our waitress later)

Tuesday was more good times, wandering around downtown Hood River ~ loving all the old architecture and the fun shops. Leah and Rog had to go back home that afternoon; Jim & I went down to The Dalles so I could indulge in a bit more retail therapy at the wonderful little scrap store there... (but I was a good girl and restrained myself!)

This was Seamus' first time "in public" and he did pretty well (better than I expected!) We used the stroller for while we were in the more public areas, but we were able to take him for long lovely walks along the river (steps from our back door). I can definitely tell we didn't get him out and about enough when he was younger... that's what comes of Mom being so paranoid about germs (before his shots were complete) Sigh...
Anyway, I can't tell you the number of people who stopped to ooh and aah over him... so many have no idea there even is such a thing as a standard/ long-haired dachsie!!

I'll have some pictures later... and some thoughts on 50...

Bye for now ~

Cottleston Pie is the Taoist philosophy dealing with our Inner Nature (as explained by Winnie-the-Pooh)
To get the full scoop, read "The Tao of Pooh" by Benjamin Hoff.
