Election angst...

So we got our ballots in the mail today... and I've marked my choices...

But there is something about this ballot that just REALLY pisses me off!

and that is the part that is in Spanish.

IF YOU'RE GOING TO VOTE IN A MAJOR U.S. ELECTION, YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO SPEAK/READ/WRITE ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please tell me in what other country on earth does this kind of immigrant ass-kissing occur!

You want to vote? Then you DAMN well better learn the language!!!!!!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Well, my ballot is all in English, but the instructions for sending it in are in some Asian language - Korean, I think.

And don't get me started on the driver's license test here.

Oh my, and I live in Texas guys. Everything and i mean everything is in english and spanish. I hardly ever order fast food any more through the drive through because the people working there cannot speak enough english to take my order! Knowing english should be a requirement of the job if you are serving customers.
I am with you all the way.
When we went to Germany I had to take classes in German within the first two weeks after I arrived. None of the menus in the little town of Fureth had english on the menu, and the majority of people in that little town spoke english.

I made the same comment to dh! To vote you have to be a citizen - to be a citizen you should speak the bleeping language! I don't care what you speak in your home, to your family, whatever -- but in matters of our government, speak the language!
