Seems Like a Mighty Long Time... (doo wop...)

...since I posted. You'd think I had a life or something!!!

My SG friend Betsie came to visit me last weekend, all the way from the 'burbs of Phoenix. We had a wonderful time ~ checked out all 3 of my LSS's, went wine tasting, scrapped in the evenings, and visited a VERY special garden!!!
We had some great discussions about politics, philosophy, religion and (of course) sex... She reminds me SOOOOOOO much of myself at a younger age! Hmmmmmmm ~ don't know whether that's good or bad for her!!!

And then there was Halloween. I swear that next year, I'm going to turn off all the lights and not answer the door. Though I love decorating for it, I'm sick to death of scenes like this one ... Mom & Dad (in full costume) come to my door, pushing a baby (in a cutesy outfit) in a stroller. Plastic pumpkin treat bag is in baby's lap. You know damn well the kid ain't getting the goodies (I doubt it was off the bottle), and that Mom & Dad are going to scarf it all. Botards.
And then there are the impatient ones... They knock, and before I can even get out of my chair, they ring the doorbell, and before I can even get the door opened, they've knocked again. The brat that did that (I could see them, while they couldn't see me) didn't get nuttin', while his friends did. His eyes got big as saucers as I shut the door in his face.

And then there are the elections... I will be SOOOO flipping glad when it's finally Nov. 5 and all the BS is over! (Of course, then I'll be bitching about all the campaign signs that are still up :-) ) The sheer amount of mis-information that has been put out as 'fact' is mind-boggling, and does absolutely nothing to restore my faith in the American way. And after 8 years of the evil Bush Empire, that faith may be broken beyond repair! (78 days, 3 hours, 9 min!!!)

While I have been trying to avoid any & every thing political on the 'net, I did happen across this today... Look at the small print below her image...
I loathe, hate, despise and abominate the CNA, and I don't give a damn about who bought whom's campaign dress!!!

And finally, I am looking forward to Nov. 4th for a completely different reason. That is the day I will see an ignorant person's prediction put to the test, and ultimately fail. But then again ~ ya just can't cure stupid...

Cottleston Pie is the Taoist philosophy dealing with our Inner Nature (as explained by Winnie-the-Pooh)
To get the full scoop, read "The Tao of Pooh" by Benjamin Hoff.
The full poem is at the very bottom here...
