NOTES FROM THE GARAGE Part II

Well, unfortunately, I am NOT writing this to you from the garage. Seems that yesterday, the guy who put down the first 2 coats of sealer either didn't add enough hardener to the mix, or laid it on too thick. Because when the other guy showed up this AM to put the final coat on, the buffer was pulling up little rolls of the stuff. AAAAAAAAAAAARGH! So everything is on hold till tomorrow, when they will try again. Oh, and that's not the end of it! Evidently, the final coat is one that smells VERY strongly of formaldehyde. Because I have such a sensitive nose, I may have to spend the night at a hotel. Lovely. And we can't put any furniture back on the wood for a couple of weeks... nothing like having your dining table and buffet hutch in your living room for a few weeks! So now I'm off to finish taking ALL non-tinned food out in the garage new living room. ***sigh*** PS ~ If I'd known what this was going to entail, I would have just had the damn wood ripped out, and put in tile and/or lino!!!

Nothing ever goes as planned does it? Hope you are settled in soon and that it was all worth it.

Oh my what a miserable business! I do hope in the end it will all be worth it. :)

I wanted to thank you for your kind comments regarding my grandmother. She was a nurse for over 40 years~ head nurse at LA County at her retirement. She tells such wonderful nursing stories about "the old ways". At 91 she still subscribs to several medical journals to "keep up". :)

Oh no. I'm sure everything is back to normal by now. These things are a huge inconvenience, but so worth it in the end. Thanks for stopping by:-)

Oh no Bobbie, I was worried about that when you said you could be back in soon.
It always takes awhile to dry.
Hope things are improving.

hugs Lynn
