We learned today that Jim's godmother, Betty Bo has passed away. She was 98. She & her husband were best friends with Jim's folks; they shared a bond of military lives, golf and a love of entertaining. I began to hear about Betty almost as soon as I'd met Jim ~ she was some woman! There was always a sparkle in her eyes, and we shared a common love of Hummel figurines. She was wickedly funny, opinionated and outspoken ~ my kind of lady. There is a large hole in our hearts tonight ~ and we're sending love to her extended family ~
