For years, I had been wanting a lovely old wheelbarrow to use as a planter. On Monday, this beauty fell into my lap, courtesy of my BFF K. I love her sunny, cheerful yellow color, and that while a bit rusty, she is still structurally sound!
{The wheelbarrow, not my friend K!!}
As always, click pix to enlarge...
After much deliberation, she and I decided that she would like to live under our river birch tree out front ~ that way she could be seen from the house, and by cars & walkers traveling past our house. She is a bit of a flirt and a show-off!
I filled her with some luscious soil, and a variety of trailing plants ~ calibracoha, verbena, lobelia, and potato vine...
For drama, I also gave her some tall plants ~ white candtytuft and some snapdragons...
Isn't she gorgeous?!?! I can't wait till the plants start filling in ~ I'll post new pix as that happens.

I love "her".
What a wonderful addition to your garden! It is a fun happy color.
I love the wood handles! Perfect plant combo!
I love your new yellow wheel barrow. You found the perfect spot for it, and it will be the talk of the neighborhood with the pretty flowers and vines spilling over it.
Mr. Yellow needs to rest in the shade. It appears he has worked hard over the years and a few flowers to make him smile was the perfect solution.
How absolutely delightful! Love lots ♥
Awesome!!! and so much better than filling it with dirt and hauling it around. LOL
