MY BIG SISTER!!!

Or: "Seamus' New Love"!

My sister came over for a four day visit, and we had a GREAT time! As you can see by all these pix, Seamus quickly fell in love with her, and kept getting in her lap anytime she sat down. Can you tell she loves dogs?? And she quickly learned the immutable law ~ that sleeping doxies weigh twice as much as when they are awake!
Unfortunately, Peanut was not so enamored of her ~ even as the days went by... 'Nut would greet her, THEN start barking her fool head off at her! I still say she has a wee bit of brain damage from her 3 day old hypoxic episode! {Peanut, not my sis!}
Click pix to biggify ~

When Leah said she was coming, I asked what she wanted for dinner ~ her fast reply was "One of Jim's world favorite pizzas!", so that is what we had for her first meal here.  Nom, nom, nom.  After dinner, we went straight up to the Sea Gypsy's Nest to start working on a scrapbook about her retirement party ~ that was the real reason for her visit. So I kicked back, and directed Leah in the separating of and IDing the pix...  She whined about having to 'work'!!

Isn't Leah pretty?! Sometimes it is very hard to believe there are 16.5 years between us!!
On Wed.,  we went thrifting.... now you have to understand that Leah is the QUEEN of the thrift shop world!! She lives for the thrill & pleasure of the hunt ~ she wore me out!!! But we both came home with some great finds ~

Our best times came in the evening ~ working on the scrapbook, and movin' & groovin' to some fabulous 50's & 60's hits she found on the computer!  We sang, we boogied, we danced our little hearts out!  Then we collapsed in laughter!

I really felt like we were making up for all the time we were apart, leading separate and very different lives. I LOVE having a sister!!

Friday, Leah came with me to the monthly meeting of the Artistic Souls of Eagle. Who knew my non-crafty sis could fussy-cut so durn well?!?! She enjoyed meeting the ladies ~ more pix from that later...
I forgot to take a pic of her box card project, but we got it all finished before she left on Sat.

I can't wait till the next time she can come visit ~ maybe in the fall? I know Seamus will be missing her too!

PS ~ I saw the oral surgeon today for my follow-up ~ the 'lesion' was just a freckle, as he predicted. Yahooo!!!

Great post and beautiful photos. Was it only 4 days? She needs to come back soon. It was fun meeting her and seeing her high energy. I can just imagine how much fun you two had.

Hugs,

Just catching up after my 10 day vacation and blog hiatus.

I envy you the time with your sister. Mine still works to hard - and in London. I haven't seen her since January.

It sounds like you and Leah had a great time!

She is such a doll and I'm so glad you two made all your time together count!
