I finally finished my Finnabair style project for the Divas! Why it took me so long... most of the Divas used the Lindy's sprays; I found that I didn't like them AT ALL! What's the sense of using a coloring agent that washed completely off with just a bit of water?!?!

So I ended up using a bunch of different stuff...
TH Distress stains, Lumiere paints, Glimmer Mists from Tattered Angels, and Deco Art Dazzling Metallics paint (Rich Expresso)
The picture doesn't do it justice ~ doesn't show how rich and deep the edges are, or all the color variations in the center.
I may go back later and add more color to the pearls in the lower left corner (there is more blue there than the pic shows)...

I covered her face with masking fluid ~ the kind you use with watercolors. Worked like a charm!!

I love all the texture and color.
It makes me think about one of the phrases Steve uses when he is nearing the end of a painting. He says, "step away from the painting". Sometimes you need to walk away for awhile.
