Our January project was presented by the lovely Ms. DE ~ we got a kit containing the 6 x 8 canvas board, the gessoed cardboard bits (there were a bunch more bits that I ended up not using; I'll save them for later), and the stencils to use as background. She also had Lindy's sprays there for us to color the backgrounds, and the heart she made from paper clay ~

We did the textures with either texture paste or modeling paste; then worked on the backgrounds. At home, I used more Lindy's on it, and added in several different colors of Tattered Angel's Glimmer Mist, especially on the small bits. (The picture doesn't really show off the Glimmer; it's better IRL) I changed the color of the heart a bit, and added pop dots under the wings. The words are from an old font, and I covered them with Glossy Accents.
This is the first real art project I've worked on since the surgery, and I'm very happy with it! I definitely want to play more with texture pastes.

I think Boise is going to be very spring-like today because it is pretty darn good here. Our 3' of snow has been taken down to 1'. A little sorry to see it go. The wind has been awful here for about 3 days, but today is beautiful!!!
