HOW DO YOU RESPOND...

...if someone wishes you a "Merry Solstice" instead of "Merry Christmas"?

Or if someone tells you "The axial tilt is the reason for the season"...

I'm not trying to ignite a flaming war here ~ just to get honest opinions...

...I've never experienced greetings of this nature, but I'd smile and say thank you!

I say "thank you! And to you as well."

I think many of us who live in "dark" places in the winter welcome the solstice as much as any of the other holidays! Look for the super conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in the southeast sky on December 21!

I celebrate the Winter Solstice myself, so I'd be happy to return the greeting and best wishes! Whatever people celebrate is fine with me!
