Chemo # 1...

...was yesterday. Other than that they had trouble finding a good vein for his IV, Duncan did fine. But now the poor little guys has 3 different bald spots on his legs! And with the chemo, those won't be growing back in any time soon. The good news is that because he doesn't have 'continuous growing' hair (like a poodle or a human), he probably won't lose any of his other hair.

His eye is almost completely healed ~ I'm only having to put the ABX ointment on once a day. But he's lost about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of hair around the eye, and the skin is hyperpigmented from the radiation, so he looks a bit racoonish on that side! And again, it will be a long time, if ever, before that hair comes back.

So far no signs of side effects, other than the fact that he's slept almost all day today... a normal reaction. I SOOOOO hope, for his sake, that he experiences few, if any side effects through all this. I'd probably fall apart if he started any vomiting, etc!
