R.I.P., CH Arimich Baileys Von Links SL ~

Our Beloved Bailey.

Click pic to enlarge slightly ~

After much discussion & thought, & tears, we have sent our sweet baby boy to run over the Rainbow Bridge* this afternoon.

It was time.

His quality of life was declining day by day, and we could no longer defend keeping him with us just for our own sake's.
He had reached the amazing age of 16 ~ we had him for 12 years.

A special thanks goes out to his owner, trainer & handler, SFK, for giving in to my whining that Bailey should come live with us, and for all her support and love over our years with him.
He will always be YOUR special boy ~
{That is her with him above}

We are heart-broken, of course ~ but very at peace as he is no longer in pain nor 'lost'. And that is all that matters ~

If you would like to honor our Bailey, please go nibble on a carrot ~ they were his favorite snack!

A final act of love and mercy for your beloved pup (no matter Bailey's real age). Sounds like you gave Bailey a wonderful, fulfilled and happy life. My condolences and wishing you heart's ease in time.

Debra ~
Thank you so much for your kind words ~
We are so grateful for the wonderful time we had with him ~
Our hearts are at ease, knowing he is no longer in pain, nor lost in confusion.
Hugs ~ if I may be so bold ~

I am so deeply sorry, Bobbie. I know your heart is breaking into pieces these days with this very big loss. It's amazing, isn't it, how these creatures who don't speak English, who completely require our care for their survival worm their way into our hearts, communicating with us as completely and articulately as Shakespeare, loving us unconditionally. They are our Secret Keepers. It will take some time to heal. Even when you know it's the right time, it's the right thing, the kind thing... it's still so hard. Biggest hugs.

Thank you, Jeanie. Sad this AM, but no tears ~ we were so lucky to have his friendship for all those years ~

We have been in your position and it is never easy. Knowing that they are at peace is the only consolation.

I’m so sorry for your loss! It’s super hard to loose a lifelong pet. You gave him a good life.
