I tried ~ I really, really tried!

I really tried to like Amor Towles' new book "The Lincoln Highway"...

But after 147 pages, I had to give it up. I was bored to tears. It was no where NEAR as engaging as his "A Gentleman in Moscow", and I just couldn't finish it.

Poop. Such a disappointment ~

Too bad! I haven't tried to read his new book, so thanks for the heads up. My sister read his first book, "Rules of Civility," but she said it was no screaming hell. Sounds like he had a one-off big hit with "A Gentleman in Moscow" and maybe that will be it?

I agree with your sister, Debra ~ I hope AGiM isn't just it for him ~ there is much promise there!

Cottleston Pie is the Taoist philosophy dealing with our Inner Nature (as explained by Winnie-the-Pooh)
To get the full scoop, read "The Tao of Pooh" by Benjamin Hoff.
